Sawn veneers of Claro Walnut, Black Walnut, Wenge, and Pearwood.
Because the veneers were resawn from large triangles of lumber I first thought the the pattern would be one suggesting the hills of the Bay Area landscape, but when Iaid them out the most attractive pattern was one that suggested a kimono with the sleeves wrapping the sides and the folds cascading down the sides to the floor.
